Great Falls Voyagers News Release

SOX IN TAILSPIN: The White Sox suffered their third consecutive loss to Billings last night 7-1, allowing a seven run inning for the second straight game. Great Falls dropped it's four game series to the Mustangs 1-3, being outscored 4-23 in the final three games after taking the series opener 10-3 on Tuesday night. Last evening, last minute starter Tyson Corley was rocked for seven runs in the third inning as Billings blew the game open. Corley stepped in for ill scheduled starter Clevelan Santilez. He allowed an RBI double to Chris Valaika, a two run two bagger to Chris Heisey and a three run homer to Michael McKennon in the fateful third frame. The Sox only run of the game was driven in by Chris Carter on an RBI single in the sixth. It marked the second consecutive effort by Bobby Tolan's club that saw them score a single run as they were drubbed in the final two games of the series by identical 7-1 scores. The setback drops the Sox second half record to 4-9. They're four games behind Billings for the Pioneer League's Northern Division lead.
