The Quebec Capitales got a solid outing from starting pitcher Gabe Ribas, who allowed two runs, both earned, on six hits in eight innings of work to earn his eighth win of the season. The victory keeps Quebec in first place in the Can-Am League and pushes the Rox to two games back. CF Goefrey Tomlinson led the Capitales at the plate, going 2-for-3, including his second home run of the season with a run scored and two runs batted in. Brockton SS Mike Scanzano also had a good game at the plate. He was 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

Nashua 2, Worcester 1

Nashua scratched out a one-run win despite stranding nine base runners to improve to 12-11 in the second half and remain 2 ½ games behind Quebec for first place in the Can-Am League. Pride DH Larry Bethea had a big night offensively for Nashua, going 2-for-4, including his eleventh home run of the year, and scored both of his team's runs. 2B Tom Creighton and RF Jayson Bass also had two-hit games to help Nashua to the victory. Starting pitcher Mark Hamilton held the Tornadoes to one run on eight hits through 7 1/3 innings to improve to 7-5 on the year and Derrick DePriest pitched a perfect ninth to record his ninth save.
