THE SKID ENDS: The White Sox snapped a season-long six game losing streak last night thanks to the timely hitting of Christian Marrero, John Shelby and Lee Cruz and the magnificent mound work of Logan Williamson and Michael Rocco in a 4-1 victory over Helena. Marrero delivered a first inning two run single, Shelby and Cruz solo homers while Williamson was masterful in working a season-long seven innings on the hill giving up only a seventh inning triple to Cole Gillespie while striking out eight Brewers. He was backed by Michael Rocco's solid effort in the final two frames for his 3rd win of the season while Rocco notched his 1st save of the campaign. The victory brought a halt to not only an overall six game skid but a six game losing streak head to head with Helena as well. The Sox are now 1-4 in the Pioneer League's Northern Division second half, two games behind Helena, Billings and Missoula who are tied at 3-2.

SANCHEZ READY TO REBOUND?: White Sox RHP Ramon Sanchez is coming off of his first loss of the season as he takes the mound tonight. He was beaten by the Brewers in Helena July 29 10-0 allowing a season-high 4 earned runs on 8 hits in 4.1 innings of work. He will be looking to bounce back tonight. His season mark versus the Brewers is 1-1 as he defeated them 5-3 on June 27. The 5-11, 175 pound Dominican Republic native is 5-1 on the season, tying him for the league lead in victories. He is currently fourth in innings worked at 43.2. Sanchez is making his ninth start tonight, he's yielded three or less earned runs in seven of his previous eight mound outings.

HOW THE SOX STACK UP: The White Sox have slammed 5 homers in the last two games bringing their season total to a Pioneer League high 38. Great Falls sits third in the league in hitting (.273), third in hits (402), fifth in runs (225), and eighth in walks (133). On the mound, Sox pitchers are sixth in team ERA (4.45). Defensively, GF is last in fielding percentage (.946) and first in overall errors (95).

LEAGUE LEADERS: Tonight's starting pitcher Ramon Sanchez is tied for the Pioneer League lead in victories (5). White Sox first baseman Chris Carter continues setting the pace in homers (12), RBI (37), doubles (14), slugging percentage (.667), and extra- bases (26). Carter is second in hits (50), third in on-base percentage (.426) and fourth in runs scored (29). Lee Cruz is currently fourth in extra-base hits (17) and tied for third in triples (3).

INF Franklin Bautista is hitting .444 (4-9) with a double and 2 RBI in his last 4 games. 1B Chris Carter went through a 13 game homer drought before slamming 2 in his last 3 games.
