Toledo Ice player makes it to final cut for Nigerian National team

Toledo, OH. Emeka Okonkwo, guard for the ABA Toledo Ice made it to the final cut for a roster spot with the Nigerian National team. Okonkwo did not make the final roster but still has a chance to earn an alternate spot with the team. The Nigerian National team is currently competing in the Las Vegas Summer League with teams such as the NBA runner-up Dallas Mavericks.

Okonkwo, a 6'3 guard was an ABA Player of the Week who averaged 15.4 points, 5.2 assists and 6.3 rebounds for the Ice in the 2005-2006 season.
