Miami FC acquire Jeff Matteo via trade

Miami, FL- Last Friday, Miami FC traded forward Luc Harrington to the Charleston Battery; in exchange, the South Floridian squad got 25 year-old midfielder, Jeffrey Matteo.
So far this season, Matteo had played in 10 of Charleston's 16 games.
Matteo began his pro career in 2002 with Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew. The Stormville, NY native also played for the NY Metrostars and had a short stint with Italian third division club (Serie C1) Monza.
Before turning pro Matteo was a four-year starter at St John's University
Matteo also played three seasons with the Westchester Flames in the PDL, registering seven goals and five assists. He also helped guide the team to a championship in 2001.
In 2004 and 2005, Matteo played for USL First Division side, Minnesota Thunder, with whom he recorded 5 goals and 7 assists in 51 games played. Last year he was named to the USL First Division All-Second Team.
Matteo arrived to Miami on Sunday morning and begins practicing with his new club today.
