Kansas City Monarchs News Release

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Don't miss the final three games of the current T-Bones homestand as the inaugural Redneck Weekend kicks off with a bang! Fans loved Mullet Night so much each of the last three seasons that we've expanded it to a full weekend.

Friday and Saturday night's games against the Gary SouthShore RailCats are at 7:05 pm, and Sunday night's game is a 5:05 pm start.

Friday night will be the Labatt Blue Party on the Porch, featuring country singer Chris Beck in concert both before and after the game. As well, the game and weekend will feature a first in radio: baseball broadcasts from a deer stand located right next to the press box!

Saturday night will be the Redneck Wine and Cheese Festival, with regional delicacies such as boxed wine and spray cheese on Ritz crackers served. The festival opens when the CommunityAmerica Ballpark gates open, at 5:30 pm on Saturday, and admission is $5, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. WWF star Sgt. Slaughter also will make an appearance at the game. The T-Bones will also be wearing special Redneck Weekend jerseys, which will be auctioned off during the game.

Fireworks, presented by American Century Investments, will follow the Saturday night game. As well, the T-Bones' post-game radio show will once again take place at Dave and Buster's for one hour following the game; the show will also be broadcast on 1030 AM "The Light". Don't miss a minute of the fun!

Sunday's game will feature the Redneck Skills Competition, with between-inning contests supplemented with fun and exciting events such as tire changing and the hubcap toss. Like every Sunday game, the contest will be followed by Kids Run the Bases, presented by Bob Evans.

Don't miss any of the action! To purchase tickets in advance, please visit www.tbonesbaseball.com or call (913)328-5618.
