MYRTLE BEACH S.C. - With Opening Day less than two weeks away the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Ovations Food Services need your help! The Pelicans are requesting that fans send in the toppings and condiments that they would like to see on a new hot dog, which will be served at Coastal Federal Field this season. The winner of the contest will receive the naming rights to the customized dog for the 2006 season (with approval of the Pelicans and Ovations). Just think, you could be ordering a " To enter the contest please submit your suggestions for the ingredients to info@myrtlebeachpelicans.com. The winner will be announced before Opening Day. Stay tuned to myrtlebeachpelicans.com for the winner! Examples of an entry include "The Bird Dog," which is a hot dog with chili, slaw, and kraut or the "Francoeur Frank," which includes chili, cheese, and french fries. Send your secret ingredients in today! Opening Day 2006 is set for Thursday, April 6th at 7:02 pm when the Pelicans host the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
