The Albuquerque Isotopes lost their first Spring Training game of 2006 after falling to the Memphis Redbirds 7-3 today in Jupiter, Florida.
Infielder Rex Rundgren delivered a two-out RBI double to help pace the Topes at the plate, while catcher Paul Hoover, who played in Albuquerque in 2003, and infielder Frankie Moore each chipped in two hits apiece.
Grants, New Mexico, native Jerrod Fuell dazzled in his only inning of work, retiring the side on just eight pitches.
Albuquerque will spend tomorrow in camp before visiting the Las Vegas 51s in Vero Beach, Florida on Friday, March 17.
