Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

Fort Worth - The Fort Worth Brahmas have teamed up with KFWR 95.9 The Ranch and Coors Light to host a Brahmas' Fan Appreciation Party this Saturday night, March 4, from 5:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m. on the plaza directly in front of the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.

The party, which is free of charge, and open to the general public, will kick off a big Saturday night for the Brahmas. At 7:30 p.m., on the Will Rogers Coliseum ice, the Brahmas will host their I-35 rivals, the Austin Ice Bats, in what should be an entertaining CHL hockey game.

The Brahmas' Fan Appreciation party will be highlighted by a live performance from the Burleson, Texas based Casey Donahew Band. This up-and-coming quartet plays regularly in local music venues and has shared the stage for recent gigs with Reckless Kelly, Roger Creager, Wade Bowen, and Kevin Fowler. The lead singer of the band, Casey Donahew, lists his primary musical influences as Jack Ingram and Cross Canadian Ragweed and describes his band's music as "pure Texas Country". The Casey Donahew Band will play for the duration of the Brahmas Fan Appreciation Party.

Also, as a special guest of the Brahmas and Coors Light, four-time PRCA World Champion Bull Rider Tuff Hedeman will be appearing at the Brahmas Fan Appreciation Party. Hedeman will be signing free autographs at the 95.9 The Ranch display table from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The world famous cowboy will then drop the ceremonial first puck prior to the Brahmas/Ice Bats game.

The party, which will be staged on the Lancaster Street side of the Will, between the Box Office and the Coliseum, will also include beverages available for sale. Additionally, 95.9 The Ranch, Coors Light, and the Brahmas will be giving away prizes throughout the event.

Brahmas General Manager Mike Barack is looking forward to the Brahmas' Fan Appreciation Party this Saturday night.

"This party is going to be the perfect lead in for our final Saturday night home game of the season. The Casey Donahew Band is an outstanding local band that is going to put on an exciting show. Hopefully our fans and supporters will come out early on Saturday to participate," stated Barack.

The Brahmas Fan Appreciation Party is just one element of a busy week for the Brahmas. Fort Worth will host the Lubbock Cotton Kings at the WRMC at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28. Then on Friday, March 3, the Brahmas will tangle with the Wichita Thunder at 7:30 p.m. at the WRMC. Saturday night will be the Fan Appreciation Party and the game against the Ice Bats, then, on Sunday, March 5, the Brahmas will play their final home game of the 2005-2006 CHL season at 3:00 p.m. at the Will against the Austin Ice Bats.
