BROCKTON - The Brockton Rox's Idol, Ayla Brown will be the eighth singer performing on this week's Fox mega-hit "American Idol." The Wrentham, MA native is a member of the Top Ten girls performing on Idol, as viewers phone-in to decide the fate of who moves on or who goes home.

The Rox have been fans of Ayla since June of 2004, when she sang the national anthem in front of a packed house at Brockton's Campanelli Stadium and have taken great pleasure as Randy, Paul, Simon and all of aAmerica have seen and heard her talents. Ayla fans will love the exclusive, behind-the-scenes photos of Ayla that the Rox will post at www.brocktonrox.com and for those who want to wish her well and send her a fan e-mail, they can do so at Ayla@brocktonrox.com

The Rox want to remind all of Ayla's fans that the best way to show support for Ayla is to vote for her. To vote, simply watch American Idol Tuesday on FOX and dial 1-866-IDOLS 08. Voting lines will open at the conclusion of the show and will remain open for at least two hours.

The Brockton Rox play in the Canadian-American Professional Baseball league, and begin their fifth season at Campanelli Stadium on May 25th against the New Haven County Cutters. Season tickets, mini-plans and group outings are now on sale through the Rox front office at (508) 559-7000.
