Redhots Tryouts Rescheduled

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds have rescheduled tryouts for the Redhots dance team. Due to the forecast calling for freezing precipitation in Memphis, the tryouts originally scheduled for Saturday, February 18, 2006 have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 9:30am. Tryouts will still be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Downtown Memphis across the street from AutoZone Park.

RedHots hopefuls must be 18-years-old or older by April 1, 2006, have 3+ years of dance experience, be a high school graduate or be graduating in 2006, have means of reliable transportation and bring proof of identification and a photo for submission (the photo will not be returned).

Participants that are considered must be available no less than 54 of the 72 home game dates, be available for all practices (at least once per week) and be available for outside appearances from March 2006 through January 2007.

Attire for the tryouts is a sports bra, dance shorts/pants and running/dance shoes. The auditions are closed to the public.

The audition schedule is as follows:

Registration and Info 9:30-10:00 a.m.

Learn Dance Routine 10:00-10:45 a.m.

First Run Through and Cut Announcement 11:00-11:30 a.m.

Break 11:30-11:45 a.m.

Interview 11:45-12:30 p.m.

Second Run Through 12:45-1:30 p.m.

Announcement of Team 1:45 p.m.

Meeting with 2006 Team 2:00-2:30 p.m.
