On Thursday, Patrick O'Sullivan scored a hat trick and Josh Harding posted his League high 20th win of the season in Houston's 5-3 victory over San Antonio...Milwaukee beat Iowa 4-2, led by two goals by defenseman Chris Durno...On Wednesday, Chad Wiseman scored three times and added an assist in Hartford's 6-4 win over the Syracuse Crunch... Albany goaltender Frank Doyle stopped 22 of 23 shots to help the River Rats to a 4-1 victory over the Falcons, extending Springfield's winless streak to eight games... Bruno Gervais scored the game's lone goal and Frederic Cloutier made 30 saves for his first career AHL shutout in Bridgeport's 1-0 win over the Philadelphia... Yann Danis stopped 31 of 32 shots in Hamilton's 4-1 win over Grand Rapids.

LOOKING AHEAD:

In a battle of divisional leaders, Houston will try to extend an eight game winning streak against the Grand Rapids Griffins at home on Friday (7:35 CT)... Houston has not lost to Grand Rapids in regulation since 3/5/04, going 5-0-0-2 in that time... Eight of the last 11 meetings between the two teams have been decided by one goal... Aeros captain Kirby Law is having a career year, leading the AHL with 22 goals, 10 shy of his previous season best of 32 which he accomplished in 2003-04... The game will feature the top three scorers in the league, Houston's Erik Westrum (49 pts.) and Kirby Law (48 pts.) and Grand Rapids' Jiri Hudler (46 pts.).

The Hartford Wolf Pack will play host to the Atlantic division leading Portland Pirates on Friday night (7:00 ET)... The Pirates currently hold a 2-1 lead in the season series between the two clubs... High powered Portland rookie Corey Perry is currently riding a 17 game point-scoring streak, a Portland franchise record... Portland currently holds a two point lead over the Manchester Monarchs and a five point lead over Hartford...The Wolf Pack will welcome back three greats in Hartford Whaler history in a pregame ceremony for Ron Francis, Pirates head coach Kevin Dineen, and Wolf Pack assistant coach Ulf Samuelsson.

Two Pennslyvania rivals square off in a contest featuring two teams heading in opposite directions, as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton travels to Philadelphia tonight (7:05 ET)... Wilkes-Barre has won seven of their last 10 games, while Philadelphia has gone winless in seven of their last 10... Konstanin Koltsov has scored the game winning goals in three of the last four Wilkes-Barre victories... The Pens 56 goals against is by far the lowest in the League; the next lowest is Providence with 79.

ALUMNI WATCH:

On Thursday, Manny Legace made 15 saves to record a shut out in his first start since being recalled by Detroit from a conditioning assignment with Grand Rapids... 2005 AHL All-Star Christian Ehrhoff scored his first goal of the season and his second career NHL goal in San Jose's 6-3 victory against Columbus.
