Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (14-23-0-2) will look to their second straight game tonight when they face the Peoria Rivermen (17-14-1-1) for the second and final time this season. In the first ever meeting between these two teams on Saturday, December 31 at Peoria, the Rivermen defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 5-1.
Hamilton has 30 points this season and sits two points back of the sixth place Cleveland Barons in the North Division. Peoria has 36 points and is in a fourth place tie with the Iowa Stars in the West Division.
BULLDOGS NOTES
- LW Lucas Lawson became the first Bulldog to score on a penalty shot at home when he beat Griffins goaltender Joey MacDonald in the first period of Hamilton's 4-1 victory over Grand Rapids on January 4. It was Lawson's first goal as a Bulldog and his second point in as many games.
- C Maxim Lapierre scored his first goal in 10 games when he potted the game-winner against the Griffins.
- D James Sanford has two multipoint performances in his last three games, posting four points (2g,2a).
- D Mathieu Roy has collected six points (1g,5a) in his last four games.
- The Bulldogs scored two shorthanded goals in one game for the first time this season as Lawson and C Marc-Antoine Pouliot each had a goal with the Dogs on the penalty kill against Grand Rapids.

Hamilton returns to action tomorrow night, Saturday, January 7, when the Manitoba Moose make their first visit of the season to Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
