Campbell Back With The Falcons

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Jim Campbell has been reassigned to the Falcons by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Tampa Bay Lightning. Campbell is expected to join the Falcons on Friday in preparation for their game Saturday night against the Syracuse Crunch at the MassMutual Center.

Campbell played in one game for the Lightning on Tuesday, January 3 against the New York Rangers not registering a point in 8:47 of ice time. He is in his 13th season of professional hockey and is also in his first full season with Springfield. Campbell is currently fifth on the Falcons in scoring with 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points in 27 games played. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound native of Worcester, MA is a veteran of 284 career NHL games splitting time in St. Louis, Montreal, Chicago and Florida.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday night when they host the Syracuse Crunch at the MassMutual Center starting at 7:05 PM. Springfield concludes their weekend in Manchester on Sunday afternoon for a 4:05 PM start. All games can be heard live on the Falcons Hockey Network, WMAS AM 1450, as "The Voice" of the Falcons John Michael handles the play-by-play duties. All games can also be seen live through the B-2 Network for only $6.00.
