P-Bruins Fall to Lowell 3-2

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins fell to the Lowell Lock Monsters 3-2 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Saturday night. Tyler Redenbach and Nathan Robinson had the P-Bruins two goals. Eric Healey extended his scoring streak to six games with his assist this evening.
The P-Bruins opened up a 1-0 lead late in the first period, when Ben Guite took a shot that went off the crossbar and Redenbach put home the rebound.
The game remained 1-0 until midway through the second period when the Lock Monsters went on the power play and Colin Forbes scored his ninth goal of the season.
Lowell took their first lead of the game 58 seconds into the third period on a Pavel Brendl power play goal and extended the lead on Forbes' second goal of the game. With the Lock Monsters leading 3-1 the P-Bruins brought on the extra attacker and with just over a minute remaining in regulation Robinson scored from in between the circles after taking a pass from Healey. The Bruins were unable to score in the last minutes of play and fell to Lowell 3-2.
The Bruins are back in action Saturday December 10, versus the Albany River Rats at the Pepsi Arena, but return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Sunday, December 11 against the Springfield Falcons, at 4:05 p.m. P-Bruins players' wives and girlfriends will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for an hour before Sunday's game on behalf of Toys for Tots. The Providence Bruins first jersey auction of the season is underway. The P-Bruins are auctioning off the first set of gold third jerseys through a live auction on the team's website, providencebruins.com. The jersey auction will run through Friday, December 16 at 5:00 p.m. and jerseys will be shipped in time for the holidays.
Reminder: The Providence Bruins game originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, December 21 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. All tickets issued for the February 12 game date will be valid and accepted on December 21.
