Canadiens recall Murray

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that the team has recalled forward Garth Murray from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Murray, 23, has played in 26 games for the Bulldogs this season, recording two points (one goal, one assist) and 46 penalty minutes. The native of Regina, Saskatchewan, was recalled by the Canadiens on December 3, and dressed for the game that night against Los Angeles, before being reassigned to Hamilton on December 4. He has played in 20 career NHL games, all with the New York Rangers during the 2003-04 season, posting one goal and 24 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs play tonight, Friday, December 9, when they face the Syracuse Crunch at Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m. This game can be seen live on Hamilton's Cable 14.

The Bulldogs take on the Houston Aeros tomorrow night, Saturday, December 10 at Copps Coliseum. The 'Dogs are holding 'Stuffed Animal Night' on Saturday and fans are encouraged to bring a new stuffed toy and toss it on the ice after the Bulldogs first goal! All toys that are collected will be distributed to local non-profit agencies in time for the holiday season. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
