Kings Return Tambellini To Manchester

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned left wing Jeff Tambellini to the Monarchs, Kings President of Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today. Tambellini, 21, has played in four games with the Kings this season, including his Kings/NHL debut on November 30 at Chicago, and has zero points and two penalty minutes. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound native of Calgary has also played in 18 games for the Monarchs this season, where he has a team-leading 14 goals and 25 points (14-11=25), with the 14 goals, at the time of his recall on November 30, tied for second in the AHL and his 25 points tied for sixth in the league.

Originally selected by the Kings in the first-round (27th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Tambellini also has a plus-11 rating with the Monarchs.

The Monarchs will host the Portland Pirates at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, December 9 at 7:35 p.m.
