Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that right wing Brendan Bernakevitch has been re-called to Manchester. Bernakevitch, who has four goals and three assists in eleven games with Manchester this season, was recently re-assigned to Reading but was recalled prior to playing a game for the Royals.

In a separate transaction, right wing John Morlang has been loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL. This marks the third time this season that Morlang has been loaned to an AHL club. On November 13, he was loaned to the Lowell Lock Monsters where he played two games and was returned to the Royals on November 17. Morlang was then loaned to the Hershey Bears on November 19 where he played one game and picked up seven penalty minutes before being returned to Reading on November 22. Over the course of this season, Morlang has played 13 games with the Royals, scoring six goals, assisting on three others, and picking up thirteen penalty minutes while playing at a +2.

Reading returns to action tonight against the Dayton Bombers at the Sovereign Center (7:00 pm). The first 1500 fans in attendance get the first in a series of five bobble-heads commemorating the Royals' fifth anniversary season. On Saturday, the Royals are back at the Sovereign Center against the Toledo Storm (7:00 pm). The first 2000 fans in attendance on Saturday receive a Royals' picture frame courtesy of the St. Joseph Medical Center.
