Skyrockets burn Heatwave

San Jose, CA. The ABA San Jose Skyrockets (3-1) got back on the winning track with an impressive 114-105 win over the Fresno Heatwave (0-4) in an American Basketball Association game at the San Jose Auditorium last night. The Skyrockets used its full court pressure defense to race out to a 63-49 lead at the half. Coach Kermit Young used his entire bench to keep players fresh.

The Skyrockets led by 19 points with 8:33 to go in the third quarter and finished leading 92-72 at the end of the quarter. Fresno began to close the gap in the fourth quarter and trailed by 101-86 with about eight minutes to go before finaling losing 114-105. Lamar Castile led San Jose with 25 ponts and Lorenzo Trudo added 20. Dante Cornelius scored 30 points for Fresno. San Jose plays Inglewood Friday at 7pm at the Civic Auditorium.
