Binghamton Senators News Release

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators recalled, for the fourth time this season, right-winger Patrick Eaves from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis. Eaves will replace the injured Martin Havlat (left hamstring injury) when the Senators face the New York Islanders in Uniondale, N.Y., on Friday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m.

In his last three emergency recalls this season, all to replace then-injured Mike Fisher, Eaves recorded a goal and assist in four games. The 21-year-old made his NHL debut in Ottawa's 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 11. Eaves recorded his first NHL point, an assist, against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 15, and his first goal in a 3-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Oct. 24.

In 13 games with Binghamton this season, the Fairbault, Minn., native has three goals and seven assists, is -5 and has eight penalty minutes. Eaves will miss tonight's home game in Binghamton against the Syracuse Crunch.

Havlat left the game in the first period during Ottawa's 5-3 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, N.C., on Nov. 22. He is listed as day-to-day.
