Condors Acquire Big Defenseman Little
November 8, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors today acquired defenseman Jordan Little from the Greenville Grrrowl for future considerations.
Little, 24, arrives from Greenville after four appearances with the Grrrowl. Little has a goal and an assist to his credit this season as well as 5 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 217-pound defenseman also spent four games last season with the Edmonton Roadrunners of the AHL, scoring a goal and accumulating 13 penalty minutes.
Little attended training camp with the Edmonton Oilers and the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs after completing his Canadian college career at the University of Manitoba. In three years at Manitoba, the Winnipeg native scored 14 goals and 20 assists in 100 games. This past year, Little participated on the Canadian hockey-based reality series, "Making the Cut", and was one of six participants selected by NHL teams to attend training camp. Little was the first player selected out of a pool of 16 finalists.
"We needed another big defenseman to help us out," said Head Coach Marty Raymond. "It's good to have a guy who played in the AHL, and Jordan is a good skater."
Little will be available to dress for the Condors this weekend in Las Vegas.
The Bakersfield Condors visit the Las Vegas Wranglers this Friday and Saturday. Both games can be followed live, either online via B2 Networks through the team website, www.bakersfieldcondors.com, or on KGEO Hot Talk AM 1230, beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45pm. The Condors return home on November 17th when they host San Diego on High School/College ID Night presented by the WB 12 and 106.1 KRAB Radio. All high school and college students presenting a valid ID at the box office can purchase tickets starting at just $1 Individual game tickets are available at the Rabobank Arena Box Office, open from Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525 or ordering online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com.
