Nailers' Hodge Named In Glas Co ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Brendon Hodge of the Wheeling Nailers is the In Glas Co
ECHL Player of the Week for October 31-November 6.
The 27-year-old recorded seven points (4g-3a) and was a +5 in three games
to help the Nailers go 3-0-0 for the week. Wheeling has won its last six
games, averaging over five goals per game, and sits atop the North Division
at 6-1-0.
The 6-foot-2 and 194-pound Hodge began the week with three points (1g-2a)
and was +3 in a 6-4 win over Toledo on Friday. He scored a hat trick,
including the game winner on the power play, in the Nailers' 4-2 win at
Johnstown on Saturday. Playing his third game in as many nights, Hodge
registered an assist in a 7-3 win over Victoria.
Hodge has spent the last two seasons with Wheeling scoring 90 points
(37g-53a) in 137 games. Prior to turning professional, the Lynnfield, Mass.
native spent four years are Plattsburgh, the State University of New York
where he accumulated 162 points (67g-95a) in 119 games. He has also spent
time with Lincoln of the United States Hockey League from 1997-1999 scoring
90 points (35g-55a) in 105 games.
On behalf of Brendon Hodge, a case of pucks will be donated to a Wheeling
area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier
for the ECHL.
In Glas Co has donated over 12,500 pucks to youth hockey organizations in
ECHL cities since it began sponsoring the award in 2000-01. In Glas Co also
donated all of the limited-edition pucks that were used during the opening
weekend and auctioned off for hurricane relief.

3g, 0a, 3 pts).
