Ice Pilots Win First Game of the Season

Pensacola, FL - Ice Pilots pick up first win this season: The Ice Pilots won their first game of the season with a 5-2 win vs. Columbia on Friday night at the Pensacola Civic Center. Chad Cavanagh scored two goals in the game for the Ice Pilots. Brian Collins, Luke Fulghum and Nick Lindberg also scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Dave Bonk scored two goals for Columbia. Todd Ford was the winning goalie for the Ice Pilots stopping 27 shots after replacing Frederic Cloutier in the first period. Chris Houle picked up the loss in goal for the Inferno. The Ice Pilots had 49 shots on goal and Columbia had 30.
The Ice Pilots lost to Columbia Saturday night at the Pensacola Civic Center 5-3. The Ice Pilots had a 3-1 lead going into the third period only to lose 5-3. Chris St. Jacques, Luke Fulghum and N! ick Lindberg scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Jeff Smith scored two goals in the game for the Inferno. Chanse Fitzpatrick, Mike Stathopoulos and Chris Cava also scored goals. Todd Ford was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Chris Houle picked up the in goal for Columbia. The Ice Pilots had 35 shots and went 0-4 on the power play. Columbia had 37 shots and went 2-9 on the power play.
The Ice Pilots have a record of 1-4-1 for 3 points and will play home to Charlotte on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will play at Columbia on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. central time and also play at Gwinnett on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:05 p.m. central time.

Dodge Player of the Week: Forward Nick Lindberg has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Lindberg scored two goals and picked up one assist for three points in the t! wo games vs. Columbia. Lindberg got credit for scoring the game winnin g goal on Friday night. Todd Ford has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Ford stopped all 27 shots in the game on Friday night after replacing Frederic Cloutier in goal. Ford stopped 32 out of 36 shots on Friday night. Nick Lindberg has been named the Dodge Player of the Week.

Ice Pilots Offer Pay Per View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home and away games are available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com . The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay per view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the Watch the Game Live icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game.
