Minot Skyrockets News Release

San Jose, CA. The ABA San Jose Skyrockets are pleased to announce that Jamie Williams, ex-NFL player for the San Francisco 49ers, will be the 11th Man for the Skyrockets' season opening game on November 18th. As the 11th Man, Williams will be the Skyrockets' first featured guest celebrity invited to suit up as an official member of the team for the night.

On October 19th, the Skyrockets and Project HIRED, a San Jose-based non-profit organization that seeks employment for people with disabilities, teamed up to auction off the 11th Man at the Third Annual Project HIRED Gala Dinner held at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose.

Roger Ready, a representative of Project HIRED Board of Directors, stated: "Project HIRED used to be called the best kept secret in the Bay Area; now that title belongs to the Skyrockets, but that will change as more people discover them and the exciting brand of basketball that the ABA brings to the table."

Ray Gale, Director of Sponsorship Sales for the Skyrockets, and Assistant Coach Trons Grimes joined Jamie Williams and Roger Reedy on the auctioning state where they raised $3800. "There's obviously a lot of excitement in San Jose over having a new basketball team in town," stated Roger Reedy. "Project HIRED is thrilled to partner with the San Jose Skyrockets and obviously the Skyrockets are committed to our community."

Be sure to reserve your tickets to this exciting opening game with the San Jose Skyrockets versus the Orange County Buzz.
