Lumsden losing locks to benefit cancer research

October 26, 2005 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release

Hamilton, Ontario - Hamilton Tiger-Cats rookie running back Jesse Lumsden has quickly made an impact on the field, but on November 7th, the former McMaster star and Hec Crighton award winner will look to make a bigger impact off the field.

In an effort to raise money and awareness to cancer patients in need of support, Lumsden will have his trademark shoulder-length hair shaved for charity on November 7th at McMaster University in support of Locks for Love.

Locks for Love is an event that allows people to donate their hair and raise money to benefit charitable foundations. For those who have approximately 8-10 inches of hair to donate, wigs will be made for children who have lost their hair due to medical reasons. Jesse is only one of thousands of people in North America who will contribute their hair for this great cause.

All money raised for this event will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society's Pediatric Department. For those wishing to make a donation, please visit Ticats.ca to support this cause.
