Nailers to Raise Money for ECHL Hurricane Victims
October 24, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced today that Saturday, October 29th has been designated Military appreciation night at the Nailers vs.. Dayton game at WesBanco Arena.
Saturday night during the Nailers vs.. Dayton hockey game at WesBanco Arena, the Wheeling Nailers will honor the military by offering a special discount for any member of the military including their family members. Members of the military can obtain tickets for only $6 by showing a military I.D. at the WesBanco Arena Box Office on Saturday, October 28th.
In co-operation with Military Night, the Wheeling Nailers will be collecting donations for the Salvation Army to aid the Mississippi Sea Wolves and the Texas Wildcatters of the ECHL. Both teams have gone into voluntary suspension for the 2005-2006 season because of the effects of the hurricanes these past few months. If fans make a donation to the Salvation Army, they will be able to buy a ticket to Saturday night's game for HALF PRICE.
"We want to help our fellow teams in the ECHL and we feel this is a great way to help raise money for these displaced teams and also create an incentive for our fans to participate," commented Rob Brooks, president of the Wheeling Nailers.
Call the Wheeling Nailers at (304) 234.4625 or 1-877-nail-tix (624.5849) for additional information or stop by the Nailers office at 1315 Main Street.
