RoadRunners Add J.F Soucy From Tampa Bay

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL have announced that forward Jean Francois Soucy has been assigned to the team by the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League.
Soucy, 23, spent a majority of the 2004-05 season with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League recording one goal, five points, and 203 penalty minutes in 55 games. The third-year professional and Riviere Du Loup, Que. native also appeared in 14 games with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL and tallied one goal, three points, and 49 penalty minutes. Soucy attended training camp in September with both Tampa Bay and Springfield. He is a former eighth round draft choice of the Lightning at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and has spent his entire professional career in the Tampa Bay system. Soucy has 14 goals, 32 points, and 480 penalty minutes in 138 career games.
"J.F. brings a combination of experience and toughness to our line-up," said RoadRunners General Manager and Head Coach Ron Filion. "I welcome his addition and expect big things from him this season."
Phoenix has also released forward Matthew Little from his tryout contract.
Phoenix will host their first annual "Blue-White Game" at 6:30PM on Wednesday at the Alltel Ice Den in North Scottsdale. The Phoenix RoadRunners make their way back to the ice at 6PM on Friday, October 21 as they battle the Utah Grizzlies at the E-Center in West Valley City, Utah. Catch all the action and every game in 2005-06 on KFNX News-Talk Radio 1100AM.
RoadRunners professional hockey returns to downtown Phoenix at 7PM on Saturday, October 22 when the Utah Grizzlies visit America West Arena for Opening Night 2005.
