Bakersfield Condors News Release


Monday, October 17th : Four Condors players trade in sticks for clubs to participate in the Arthritis Association - Adaptive Aquatics Center annual golf tournament today. Held at Bakersfield Country Club, the tournament has a scheduled shotgun start of 1:00 pm. Veteran Condor Kevin St. Jacques will head up the foursome.

Wednesday, October 19th : Colonel Claw'd attends the Harvest Carnival at Del Vista School, 1405 12th Ave. in Delano. The fall carnival will run from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

Thursday, October 20th : Group Sales Manager Justin Fahsbender, along with Condors mascot Colonel Claw'd and the Condors inflatable Slapshot game will participate in the 6th Annual "Lights On" after-school rally. Sponsored by the Foundation for SUCCESS, "Lights On" is a celebration of after-school programs for children. The event will be held at Ollivier Middle School, located at 7310 Monitor St. from 5:00 - 8:00 pm.

Friday, October 21st : Condors staff will participate in the City of Bakersfield Safety Luncheon and Wellness Fair. Held in Yokuts Park from 11:00am - 2:00pm, the event is for City employees. The Condors will display the basic safety equipment for hockey, as well as raffle off tickets to upcoming Condors games.

Friday, October 21st :Account Manager Dayna Cashion and mascot Colonel Claw'd will join the students of McKee Elementary for their fall carnival. The event is scheduled for 5:00pm at 201 McKee Rd. in Bakersfield.

Saturday, October 22nd : Justin Fahsbender and Craig Turney will join Colonel Claw'd at the 13th Annual American Heart Association Heart Walk. The day starts with a VIP breakfast at 8:00am, the actual walk begins at 10:00am. The event will take place at Beach Park, located at 21st and Oak St. in Bakersfield. The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. As of Monday, October 17th , $67,377 has been collected towards the $143,000 goal with 5 days to go.

The Bakersfield Condors season opens this Saturday, October 22nd against the Victoria Salmon Kings. All fans in attendance will receive a Condors magnet schedule sponsored by KGEO AM 1230 and Watson Realty. Season ticket, mini-plans and group outings can be reserved by contacting the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.
