Brian Collins assigned from Peoria of AHL

Pensacola, Fla. - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that center Brian Collins has been assigned from the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League.
Collins, who stands 6'1" and weighs 208 pounds, played in 46 games with the Pee Dee Pride of the ECHL last season scoring 20 goals, 24 assists for 44 points and picked up 18 penalty minutes, played in 29 games for the Johnstown Chiefs scoring 6 goals, 6 assists for 12 points and picked up 28 penalty minutes and played in 5 games for the Worcester IceCats of the AHL picking up one assist and two penalty minutes. He represented Pee Dee last season in the ECHL All Star game.
Collins played for the Ice Pilots during the 2003-2004 season playing in all 72 games during the regular season scoring 18 goals, 24 assists for 42 points and picked up 35 penalty minutes and played in all five Kelly Cup Playoff games scoring one goal and picking up two penalty minutes.
Collins played his college hockey at Boston University and was selected by the New York Islanders in the third round and was the 87th overall player taken in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He is 25 years old from Shrewsbury, Massachusetts and shoots left.
"Brian is going to help us in the scoring department this season as he has blossomed into a goal scorer in this league," said Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione. "I know that he is a fan favorite and I think that the fans will be excited that he is back."
"Brian is a proven all-star in this league. He not only can score goals but is a great special team's player," said Ice Pilots Head Coach Rick Adduono. "He brings a lot of energy to our organization."
The Ice Pilots also announced that season ticket holders who purchased preseason tickets to the Ice Pilots preseason games on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. can pick up their preseason tickets on the day of the game at the will call box office in front of the Pensacola Civic Center.
Cost of tickets to the Ice Pilots preseason home games are $11 for lower level tickets and $6 for upper level tickets. Fans can purchase individual tickets for the Ice Pilots preseason games in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com.
Season tickets for the Ice Pilots 2005-2006 season are on sale. Ticket plans start as low as $85.84. Fans can call the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825 for season ticket and corporate sponsorship information.
