Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that they have signed defenseman B.J. Adams and Josh Zavitz (ZAV-ihts).

This will be the second go around in Toledo for Adams, who played 69 games with Toledo in the 2000-01 season. That year, B.J. collected 16 points (2g, 14a) and 110 penalty minutes. The former Falcon from Bowling Green State University has also played for the Pee-Dee Pride in the ECHL, Rockford in the United Hockey League, and last year he was with Odessa in the Central Hockey League. In 304 professional games, B.J. has 25 goals, 69 assists, and 429 penalty minutes. In four seasons with the Falcons, Adams appeared in 144 games.

"Both these defensemen have good size," said Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci. "Both guys are tough, physical, but move the puck very well."

Zavitz, a native of Harrow, Ontario, comes to the Storm from Canisius College where he has spent the last four years. He collected 163 penalty minutes in 126 games over the past four years. Josh also collected 34 points (10g, 24a) at Canisius.
