Alex Sheffield Named Director of Corporate Sponsorship and Ticket Sales

Pensacola, FL - The 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Champion Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that Alex Sheffield has been named director of corporate sponsorship and ticket sales.
Sheffield, who is 31 years old, was the director of corporate sales the last two seasons for the New Orleans Zephyrs of the Pacific Coast League which is the Triple A baseball affiliate of the Washington Nationals. He also worked six seasons with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL in a similar capacity from 1997-2003.
Sheffield is a graduate of Mississippi State University and was the basketball manager for the 1996 Final Four team. He is single and is from Tupelo, Mississippi.
"We are excited to have Alex join our organization. He brings a lot of experience and fresh ideas to our team," said Ice Pilots President Mario Forgione. "Our organization is committed in being successful working with the Pensacola community both on and off the ice."
"I am excited about being a part of the Ice Pilots organization and looking forward to meeting with the community business leaders," said Sheffield. "Our goal is to service our customers and bring exciting hockey entertainment for the entire family."
The Ice Pilots begin training camp this Sunday at the Pensacola Civic Center beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will play two home preseason games on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 7:05 p.m. Price of tickets for the preseason games are $11 for lower level seats and $6 for upper level seats.
Season tickets for the Ice Pilots 2005-2006 season are on sale. Prices for all 36 home games for floor and glass seats are $678.96, side seats are $489.60, goal seats and lower upper seats are $443.52 and upper seats cost $356.40. Partial season ticket plans are also available for as low as $85.84. Fans can call the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825 for season ticket and corporate sponsorship information.
