Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA (October 6, 2005) - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that the Stanley Cup will be on display during their home game on Wednesday, October 26th when they host the Toledo Storm at 7:30 p.m. Photos will be available.

This is the second time in fifteen months that the most famous trophy in professional sports will be at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena. Former Chiefs equipment manager Dana Heinze now with the Tampa Bay Lightning brought the cup to Johnstown in July 2004 to celebrate the team's championship season.

As the Chiefs NHL affiliate and part owner, the Lightning were instrumental and bringing the cup to Johnstown for this night.

"This is another great example of the partnership we have with the Lightning. Having the cup in just our second home game of the season is something for our fans, staff and players to build on. We look forward to a great crowd that night," Chiefs President Jim Weber said.

The 2005-2006 season presented by First National Bank begins on Saturday October 22nd, when the Chiefs host the Reading Royals at 7:30 p.m. Season tickets and sponsorships for the upcoming season are still available by calling the Chiefs office at (814) 539-1799 or 1-800-SLAPSHOT.
