WEEKLY WRAP-UP: The Cardinals went 3-3 last week, winning their first series of the season against Williamsport (Pittsburgh Pirates) before going 1-2 vs. the Staten Island Yankees (New York). They currently sit in 3rd place in the McNamara Division of the New York-Penn League, 2 games behind the 1st place Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets).

BIRDS WITH BATS: 3B-SS Casey Rowlett has been leading the offense going 7-for-21 (.333) over the first 6 games with 4 runs and 2 doubles. C Brandon Yarbrough has a team leading 5 runs scored and is 2nd in the NYP League with 4 doubles, while hitting .300 (5-20). OF Matt Wilkerson has the lone Cardinals home run and a team leading 3 RBI. OF Yonathan Sivira and SS Dan Nelson have each provided some clutch hitting driving in 2 runs apiece.

CARDS ON THE MOUND: The Cardinals have a team ERA of 3.12 through the first 6 games, good for 6th place in the league. RHP Justin Brown has a 1.80 ERA, while holding opponents to a .235 batting average. RHP Matthew Trent is currently tied for 2nd place in the NYPL with 2 saves and has yet to surrender a hit over his 3 innings of work. RHP Jeremy Zick has worked 5.1 innings without giving up an earned run and striking out 5.

THE WEEK AHEAD: The Cardinals hit the road as they travel to Brooklyn to play the Cyclones on Wednesday, June 29th and Staten Island to face the Yankees on June 30th. On Friday, the Cardinals will return to Skylands Park to start a 4 game home-stand with another 2 games against both Brooklyn and Staten Island.
