May 5, 2005 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Three local high school students were recognized by the Albuquerque Isotopes for their accomplishments in the teamÂ’s 2005 Souvenir Program Cover Design Contest, the organization announced Thursday. The competition invited area high school students to develop the cover for the 2005 Summer Edition Program for the Isotopes.

Josh Spence, a 10th grader from Mayfield High School, was selected as the grand prize winner while 11th-graders Jesus Zazveta (2nd) and Kasey Thomas (3rd) – both of Albuquerque High School – were chosen as finalists. All three students will receive four (4) tickets to a 2005 Isotopes home game in July and will be recognized during the pre-game events. Additionally, Spence will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, receive an autographed baseball, and be given 50 tickets for friends and family to a select home contest.

The competition was open to any student (grades 9-12) in New Mexico. This is the second consecutive year that Isotopes have held the souvenir program cover design contest. This yearÂ’s summer edition programs will be available for purchase in early July at Isotopes Park.
