"Sounds On Demand" TV Show New Fan Feature In 2005

The Nashville Sounds have teamed up with Comcast to bring fans a brand-new half-hour, television magazine show throughout the 2005 season.

Hosted by local sports radio personality Pete Weber and produced twice a month from May through August, “Sounds On Demand presented by Shoney’s” is a 30-minute show that will feature interviews, news and notes, instructions on how to play the game, what it’s like to work at Greer Stadium, and a look at the lighter side of America’s pastime.

The show will air daily at 5:30 p.m. on CSN 49 on Comcast Cable throughout Middle Tennessee, beginning on Thursday, May 5. In addition to the daily airings, “Sounds On Demand” is available for viewing 24 hours a day, seven days a week as part of the “On Demand” programming available on Comcast Digital Cable.

Taped on location each week from Greer Stadium, “Sounds On Demand” brings you exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage on the Sounds. Weekly program features will include:

“From The Dugout”: An in-depth conversation with a member of the Sounds coaching staff discussing all facets of the game including pitching, hitting, coaching techniques, and current play of the team.

“Community Report”: A look at the Sounds’ involvement in the community. “Sounds On Demand” travels to team-related events including baseball clinics, charity events, hospital visits, etc. to show fans the difference the Sounds are making off the field.

“Fan-demonium!”: Spotlight on the fun, family entertainment presented nightly at Greer Stadium.

“Sound Spotlight”: Each week “Sounds On Demand” will spotlight one of the Sounds players, discussing his current performance, background, and news surrounding the team.

“Sounds Of The Game”: Audio clips from the ballpark are featured weekly, ranging from a miced-up player or coach to vendors in the stands to general fan excitement at the game.

In addition to the television airings, selected segments from shows throughout the season will be available for viewing on the Sounds’ official website, www.nashvillesounds.com.
