Charlotte Sting Re-Sign Shalonda Enis and Teana Miller

The Charlotte Sting have re-signed forwards Shalonda Enis and Teana Miller, it was announced today by General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey.
Enis, a five-year WNBA veteran, has averaged 7.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 106 career games. A member of the Sting since 2000, Enis sat out the 2004 season for personal reasons. In 2003, she averaged 8.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 29 games, including 20 starts.
Originally selected by the Washington Mystics with the 13th overall selection in the 1999 WNBA Draft, Enis was acquired by the Sting on January 20, 2000, along with a third round draft pick in exchange for Vicky Bullett. Her other professional experience includes stints in Israel and Korea, as well as with the Seattle Reign of the now-defunct American Basketball League (ABL).
A 6-1 forward, Enis averaged 20.5 points and 9.2 rebounds in two seasons at the University of Alabama. As a senior, she was selected as a finalist for the 1997 Naismith Award and was selected to the Associated Press All-American Third Team. She transferred to Alabama from Trinity Valley Community College where led the team to the 1995 Junior College National Championship and was named junior college player of the year.
A native of Celeste, Texas, Enis has two sons, Chanse and Chase.
Miller, a two-year WNBA veteran, has posted 3.5 points and 2.7 rebounds in 40 career games with the Sting. After sitting out the majority of the 2004 season following the birth of her daughter, Miller returned to post 3.9 points and 2.0 rebounds and shot .519 percent from the field (14-27) over the final nine games of the season. In 2003, Miller made the team as an undrafted rookie and finished the season ranked 19th in the league with 24 blocks and first among rookies in field goal percentage (.526).
A 6-3 forward, Miller posted 12.5 points and shot .588 from the field (487-828) over her three-year career at Tulane. She twice earned All-Conference USA Second Team honors and was also honored as the 2002 Conference USA Sixth Woman of the Year after averaging 16.4 points and 8.1 rebounds as a junior. She sat out the 1999-2000 season after transferring from East Carolina.
A native of Beulaville, North Carolina, Miller married her husband Robert in August of 2003. Their daughter, Trinity, was born April 20, 2004.
