Hymovitz earns Player of the Week honors

Richmond, VA – Richmond RiverDogs LW David Hymovitz has been named the UHL Sher-wood Player of the Week for the week ending February 13. Hymovitz racked up nine points in three games last week, all ‘Dogs wins. He earned Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.

Hymovitz, the ‘Dogs All Star Game representative, has points in six straight games. He capped last week with a four point effort and a +5 in the ‘Dogs wild 8-6 win over Elmira. He was also named the UHL Player of the Week in November. He earned the ‘Dogs first ever AHL call-up that week.

Hymovitz, a product of Boston College, leads the ‘Dogs in scoring and is tied for third in the league in points. He spent the previous five seasons playing in the AHL.

The ‘Dogs return home Friday, February 25 to face Adirondack at 7:35 PM. Richmond is also home Saturday, February 26 vs. the Frostbite at 7:35. For more information please call the ‘Dogs office at 225-7825.
