Kingston Frontenacs (18-17-4-2) edged the 67's (20-16-5-1) by a score of 4 - 3 in Ottawa on Sunday, January 16th snapping their 3-game win streak. Radek Smolenak has the game winning goal, his 20th of the season and added an assist.

The Frontenacs snapped a 4-game losing streak last night in Belleville while the 67's are riding a 3-game win streak. These two teams last match up was December 30, 2004 when the Frontenacs won 6 - 5 at the Corel Centre in front of 20,081 a Canadian Hockey League Attendance Record. Last Kingston win in the Civic Centre was November 2001.

First Period Summary: Elgin Reid called for Cross Checking at 0:57 and Kingston's first powerplay opportunity of the game. Frontenacs captain Anthony Stewart (22) opens the scoring assisted by Radek Smolenak and rookie Cory Emmerton at 04:06. Slashing to Kingston's Justin Suda at 4:38. Suda returns to the penalty box at 6:21 for Interference. Ottawa's Jeremy Akeson (8) powerplay goal beats goalie Dayne Davis who was down, assisted by Julian Talbot and Chris Hulit at 14:08. 15:08 Kingston's Bobby Hughes (12) tapped in his own rebound top-left corner assisted by Chris Stewart. Frontenacs rookie Ben Shutron is called for Holding at 15:48. Ottawa's Jamie VanderVeeken called for Elbowing at 18:15. Holding to Frontenacs Bobby Hughes at 19:25. Shots on Goal favoured Ottawa 17 to 10 After 20-minutes, Kingston leads the 67's 2 - 1.

Second Period Summary: 3:20 Chris Petrow trips Mark Mancari for Obstruction Hooking and Ottawa's 5th powerplay opportunity of the game. 67's Jeremy Akeson (9) scores by chopping down the Brad Staubitz rebound to the left of Davis at 4:53 also assisted by Julian Talbot. Ottawa's Czech Republic star takes two back-to-back penalties, Tripping at 5:45 then at 7:57 Interference. Frontenacs Adam Nemeth dumps Lukas Kaspar for Interference at 11:23. Bobby Hughes intercepts a 67's pass behind their bluline feeding rookie Chris Stewart (8) scoring at 13:24 also assisted by Chris Petrow. 18:24, Adam Nemeth gets High Sticking for taking a wack at Lukas Kaspar. Shots on Goal favour the 67's 10 to 7 this period. After 40-minutes, Kingston leads Ottawa 3 - 2.

Third Period Summary: Bryan Bickell (14) scores for Ottawa at 05:14 assisted by Jakub Petruzalek and Robbie Lawrance. Kingston's rookie Euro-draft choice Radek Smolenak (20) gives Kingston the lead at the 7-minute mark scoring assisted by Evan Kotsopoulos and Anthony Stewart. Shots on Goal this period favoured the 67's 15 to 11. Kingston beats Ottawa 4 - 3 final.

Frontenacs Dayne Davis faced 42 shots while 67's Anthony Guadagnolo faced 28.
