Hermantown's Freeman Added for 24-25
May 7, 2024 - The Minnesota Wilderness has added the top scorer for the top team from Section 7A of Minnesota High School Hockey. Forward River Freeman has signed a tender agreement with the Wilderness for the 2024-25 season. As a junior, the Duluth native led Hermantown High School to the Section 7A championship during the 2023-24 campaign. Freeman was Hermantown's top scorer last season, posting 22 goals, 27 assists and 49 points. His totals include 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) over three games played a... May 1, 2024 - The new Minnesota Wilderness North American Tier 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) franchise has found who will lead the team in its premier season. Zach Stepan has been hired as the team's first head coach and general manager. A 30-year-old from Hastings, MN, Stepan has spent six seasons as either a head coach or assistant in the NAHL, NA3HL and United States Hockey League (USHL). April 28, 2024 - The 2023-24 Minnesota Wilderness season came to an end Saturday night after a 6-2 loss to the Anchorage Wolverines. For Anchorage, the win clinches the Midwest Division semifinal series, allowing the Wolverines to advance to the 2nd round of the Robertson Cup playoffs. April 27, 2024 - Daniel Astapovich scored twice and Adam Prokop made 32 saves to lead the Minnesota Wilderness to a 4-1 victory over the Anchorage Wolverines Friday night. The win keeps the Wilderness alive in the Robertson Cup playoffs as it trims Anchorage's lead in the Best of five Midwest Division semifinal series at 2-games-to-1.
