Hershey Bears Sign Zac Funk to Amateur Tryout Agreement
May 14, 2024 - The Hershey Bears, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Washington Capitals, announced today that the club has signed forward Zac Funk to an amateur tryout agreement. Funk, 20, recorded 123 points (67g, 56a) in 68 games with the Cougars in the 2023-2024 season. The 6'0â³, 210-pound forward led the WHL in goals, power-play goals (31), plus/minus (+56) and ranked second in points and fourth in shots (323). May 10, 2024 - PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Prince George Cougars wrapped up their 2024 WHL Prospect's Draft yesterday (May 9) where they selected ten players. First-round selection Dade Wotherspoon headlines the PG draft class, being the Cougars' first selection at #21 overall. Wotherspoon, from Martensville, SK, had a tremendous season with the Martensville U15 team, collecting 103 points (53-50-103) in just 27 games. May 8, 2024 - PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Prince George Cougars made two selections in the 2024 US Priority Draft on Wednesday Mat 8th, selecting forward Cole Hajt and defenceman Dax Diep.
