Golden Again: Elick Rapidly Becoming Go-To-Guy for Canada
May 16, 2024 - It's early yet in the career of Wheat Kings' defenseman Charlie Elick but as far as Hockey Canada is concerned, the bruising blueliner is already a veteran. Having represented his country at the World Under-17s and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup (winning gold at the latter), Elick was one of the first players Canada turned to when it came time to build their team for the World Under-18 Championships. DeSouza Grateful for Wheat Kings Help in Landing Pro Opportunity
May 15, 2024 - Jackson DeSouza is accustomed to traveling for hockey. McQueen was on the initial roster for Hockey Canada at the event, and picked up an assist in his first game before his second game ended by the end of the first period. He's st... First Rounder Surkan Eager to Prove Wheat Kings Right
May 14, 2024 - The Brandon Wheat Kings knew they were getting an electric, highly skilled player in Chase Surkan, their first-round pick in the 2024 prospects draft. What they might not have known is they're getting a player with some extra motivation. Surkan watched the first round of the draft with his family on Thursday, May 9, and given the season he'd just had, leading the Saskatchewan AA ranks in scoring, he had a reason to expect to hear his name called. In fact, he might've even been expecting to he... Full StoryMore from the Western Hockey League
