ValleyCats to Face Wild Things in Opening Homestand
May 16, 2024 - TROY, NY - Baseball, fireworks, and family-fun are back in New York's Capital Region this week as the Tri-City ValleyCats host the Washington Wild Things on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium from May 17-19. Tri-City has "Opening Night" presented by the Rensselaer County Department of Health tomorrow, and will be giving away a magnet schedule courtesy of Lays. May 15, 2024 - SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Tri-City ValleyCats (3-3) offense exploded to an 8-5 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (5-1) on Wednesday at Wintrust Field. Schaumburg opened the scoring in the first. Jhon Vargas walked Alec Craig, and Chris Dawson was hit by a pitch. Both runners moved up 90 feet on a Seth Gray groundout. May 14, 2024 - SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Tri-City ValleyCats (2-3) fell 9-1 to the Schaumburg Boomers (5-0) on Tuesday at Wintrust Field. Tri-City picked up five hits against Brendan Knoll in the first two frames, but was unable to plate a run. Leadoff singles from Jaxon Hallmark in the first and Kyle Novak in the second were quickly erased by double plays in both frames. May 14, 2024 - TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats have partnered with Built2Win to showcase the best high school baseball talent across New York's Capital Region as Joseph L. Bruno Stadium will host the 518 Futures High School Baseball Classic for the fourth time on Thursday, June 6. Gates will open at 4 PM and the Home Run Derby begins at 4:30 PM.
