Mother's Day Motivation Inspires Storm To Win Series Against 66ers
May 12, 2024 - After nothing but back-and-forth affairs, the Lake Elsinore Storm took charge of their third homestand series victory with a commanding 10-7 win over the Inland Empire 66ers. It didn't begin quite as smoothly. Miguel Mendez was today's starter for the Storm and after inducing a groundout on four pitches, Mendez was bent over behind the mound needing assistance from the trainer. Lake Elsinore Storm Shut Out Inland Empire 66ers
May 12, 2024 - The Lake Elsinore Storm may have played the most quintessentially Minor League Baseball game yet. It starts with the pitching staff which held the 66ers scoreless through nine innings. Isaiah Lowe got the start and although he went through only nine innings of work, he recorded nine strikeouts and allowed just four hits and two walks. Dwayne Matos would then relieve him and would prove just as dominant. He would strike out six batters in 2.2 innings. This gave Storm pitching an astonishing 15... May 11, 2024 - The Lake Elsinore Storm entered a shootout on Rodeo Night with the Inland Empire 66ers and left as the one who the town wasn't big enough for. Fortunately, despite a failed double play attempt, Storm starting pitcher Eric Yost got out of the first unscathed. Unfortunately, he would not be so lucky in the second inning. After a 1-2-3 bottom of the first, the first three batters would reach ba... Full StoryMore from the California League

May 9, 2024 - The Lake Elsinore Storm bounced back after being shut out last night by outlasting the Inland Empire 66ers to take a Thursday night victory by a score of 5-4. It began with Sam Whiting's near-perfect night from the pitcher's mound. He would go three scoreless innings, allowing no runs, and putting just two men on base. Meanwhile, the Storm offense would put runs on the board nearly immediately. After Rosman Verdugo walked, a stolen base and wild pitch would put him at third with just one out....
