Tourists and Emperors Split Twin Bill
May 16, 2024 - ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists and the Rome Emperors each picked up a win on Thursday night with a double-header split. Rome won the first game 6-1 and Asheville owned the second game with a 12-1 final score. The series is knotted up at two games apiece. Williams Walks Tourists off in the Ninth
May 15, 2024 - ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists defeated the Rome Emperors 4-3 in walk off fashion Wednesday evening. Trailing 3-1, Jeron Williams cleared the bases in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run single combined with an Emperors throwing error. The three-run sequence sent McCormick Field into a frenzy. Emperors Take Series Opener from Tourists 11-1
May 14, 2024 - ASHEVILLE- The Asheville Tourists did not begin their seven-game homestand the way they had hoped. Asheville dropped the Education Day afternoon contest to the Rome Emperors by a final score of 11-1. It is the first time this season the Tourists have lost a game by double-digits. May 13, 2024 - WINSTON-SALEM- The Asheville Tourists dropped Sunday's series finale to the Winston-Salem Dash 5-4 in ten innings. It was the second extra-inning loss of the week for the Tourists who showed great resolve and fight throughout the series. Asheville forced extra-innings on a run scoring rally in the top of the ninth. Trailing 4-3, John Garcia tripled to lead off the inning.
