Malcolm Hill Named to All-NBA G League Second Team
April 18, 2024 - BIRMINGHAM, Ala - Birmingham Squadron two-way guard Malcolm Hill has been named to the 2023-24 All-NBA G League Second Team, as announced by the NBA G League office Thursday afternoon. Hill finished last season ranked fifth in the league in scoring, averaging 23.3 points per game in 30 total regular season contests. April 18, 2024 - BIRMINGHAM, Ala - Birmingham Legion FC advances to the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup after a 4-2 comeback victory against the Chattanooga Red Wolves, featuring four goals from Stefano Pinho. The Brazilian forward scored two headers to level the Legion in regular time. Pinho would score two more goals in extra time sealing Legion FC's victory. April 16, 2024 - The Birmingham Barons took down the Mississippi Braves 2-1 behind some tremendous defensive plays by the Barons. Starting pitcher Mason Adams threw a gem of a game, going 6.0 innings, giving up only five hits, no runs, and no walks with nine strikeouts. Centerfielder Jacob Burke made two outstanding plays, and Terrell Tatum made a few good plays on left field to keep the Braves from scoring only their one run of the game. April 16, 2024 - Birmingham Stallions quarterback Adrian Martinez, Birmingham teammate defensive end Jonathan Garvin and D.C. Defenders kicker Matt McCrane were named the OurSports Central United Football League Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for the week three of the UFL season.
