Rocks Arms Punch Out Season High 17, but Bats Collect Just Two Hits in 4-0 Loss

June 29, 2016 - Wilmington, DE- The Wilmington Blue Rocks (28-47/1-5) pitching staff recorded a season high 17 strikeouts against the Lynchburg Hillcats (47-28/2-3) on Tuesday night, but Hillcats' Sean Brady stifled the offense in a 4-0 loss. Rocks starter Zach Lovvorn led the way in the strikeout category by fanning a career high 10 Hillcats, but gave up four runs in 4.2 innings to drop to 0-9 on the year. June 27, 2016 - Wilmington, DE - The Wilmington Blue Rocks (28-46/1-4) came back home to Frawley Stadium looking to snap out of their early second half funk, but the Lynchburg Hillcats (46-28/1-3) scored 12 runs in the series opener to drop the Rocks 12-3. June 26, 2016 - Winston-Salem, N.C. - For the third time in the four game series against the Winston-Salem Dash (31-43/3-1), the Wilmington Blue Rocks' (28-45/1-3) offense managed just a lone run as the Rocks dropped the finale 5-1. The only offense for the Blue Crew came off of the bat of Alfredo Escalera who returned to the lineup after missing most of the team's last nine games with an injury. June 25, 2016 - Winston-Salem, N.C.- Much like the first half of the season, it has been a tough start in the second half for the Wilmington Blue Rocks' (28-44/1-2) offense.
