Steve Birnbaum Named to USMNT Final Roster for Upcoming WCQ

August 28, 2016 - WASHINGTON - D.C. United defender Steven Birnbaum has been named to the U.S. Men's National Team final roster for the upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches on Sept. 2 at St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Sept. 6 against Trinidad & Tobago in Jacksonville, Florida. "We're ecstatic that [Steve's] going to be a part of the [qualifying] process as we think he's a valuable asset to them," United head coach Ben Olsen said. Mystics Sign Leilani Mitchell

August 27, 2016 - Washington, D.C. - Washington Mystics head coach Mike Thibault announced today that Bria Hartley will miss the rest of the season as she is expecting her first child. She will be placed on the suspended list and is expected to play in 2017. Hartley is averaging 6.5 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game. Thibault also announced the signing of guard Leilani Mitchell. Mitchell recently played in the Olympics as a member of the Australian National team, where she averaged 11.3 points per game...
